Robot’s Rules

Robot’s Rules App Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026

Robot’s Rules is operated by Michael Sanderson ("we," "us"). This policy covers the Robot’s Rules app, including test versions distributed through TestFlight (the "app"). Our website and email lists have their own policies: Website Privacy Policy and Mailing List Privacy Policy.

Your meeting content

Meeting names, agenda items, motion text, member names and similar content you enter in the app are stored on your device. We do not receive this content. This does not apply to content you choose to send us, such as in feedback, a support email, TestFlight feedback or a survey answer.

Information we collect

Usage information. When you use the app, it automatically sends our analytics provider information about how you use the app (for example, the features and screens you use) and about your device and the app (for example, app version, device type, operating system and language). This information is linked to a random identifier created for your installation of the app. Our analytics provider also receives your IP address and uses it to work out your approximate location, such as country, region or city.

Surveys and tests. The app shows optional surveys. We receive your answers, including any free-text answers, so please do not put sensitive personal information in them. We also show different versions of features to different users to test them.

From Apple. Apple may give us crash reports and, if you use a test version through TestFlight, device and usage information and any feedback, screenshots and comments you send through TestFlight. If we invited you by email, Apple also shows us your name and email address. Apple's handling of information is covered by Apple's own privacy policies.

Information you send us. If you email us about the app or send feedback, we receive what you send, including your email address and anything you attach, and we keep it so we can respond and improve the app.

How we use information

We use information to:

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the app: providers of app analytics, surveys and feature testing, and of email and file storage. These providers give the same or equal protection to this information as this policy describes.

We may also disclose information if we believe the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of our users, us or others, with your consent or at your direction, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

Do Not Track

The app does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it. For example, we keep usage information while it helps us understand and improve the app, and support and feedback messages while we need them to respond and improve the app.
